Pons
Pons is a picturesque town known for its antique shops and cafes, a charming small city on a hill with beautiful views over the surrounding villages and countryside. Its keep and its ramparts languish on the edge of the Seugne river a tributary of Charente.
Based on the road of Santiago de Compostelle in the Middle Ages, Pons became a fortress, however, today, it is a lovely town with lots of water sports and leisure activites in and around the river and many lovely little independent boutiques, restaurants and bars.
