Our Gite is an exclusive,
220m² spacious accommodation and is part of a long Charantaise farmhouse near Cognac. It is of traditional local
stone and was built in 1890.

Gite du Calme is an exclusive and spacious self catering gite accommodation with three en-suite bedrooms it sleeps six to eight very comfortably. It has a tastefully decorated lounge and a separate kitchen/dining room. It is situated in a peaceful and established two acre garden with pool, over-looking vineyards. It is a rural gite situated in Chérac the heart of the Cognac brandy region and is just 10 minutes drive from the towns of Cognac and Saintes. We are in the lovely friendly region of the Charente Maritime with plenty of activities and sightseeing for the whole family.

Kitchen/Dining Room
The kitchen with dining room is a spacious 40m² comfortable room for up to eight people to cook and eat very easily. It overlooks the front garden and pond. It has an old farmhouse style with all the modern appliances and equipment with a large dining table and chairs. If you need it, we have a high chair and plastic crockery for children.

The lounge
A stylishly decorated and furnished room, ideal for six to eight people to totally relax in. It is a cosy room with new beamed ceiling. There is a computer for your use with WiFi internet connection and webcam facilities.There are books, games, TV, DVD's for all the family, music and a box of toys.

Oak
Upstairs Bedroom
A large bright room with lovely views over the garden. It has vaulted ceilings and part traditional Charantaise stone walls to give the room an old world charm. There is a double bedroom with an adjoining twin room making it a comfortable family suite. There is a split level modern en-suite shower room, WC and sink.

Pine
Upstairs Bedroom
A bright room also over-looking the front garden has vaulted ceilings and part traditional Charantaise stone walls.It has a double bed and en-suite shower room, WC and sink.

Acacia
Ground floor Bedroom
This double bedroom has a high beamed roof part Charantaise stone walls and looks out onto the arbour of grapes. The en suite shower room has a large walk-in shower, sink and WC.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Sleeps six to eight
There are three large bedrooms Oak, Pine and Acacia.
Pine and Acacia both have en-suite shower rooms including a WC and sink. Oak is a family suite with split level en-suite shower room WC and sink plus an adjoining twin bedroom with two single beds. All three bedrooms are decorated in a traditional French / modern manner and the bathrooms are bright with modern appliances.
